Socrates Christodoularis

Dr Christodoularis Socrates was born in Athens in 1939. His family migrated to  Ethiopia, did his elementary in the Greek community school of Addis Abeba.

In Kenya he graduated from the English ‘Prince of Wales’ boarding high school and worked as a representative of Standard Vacuum (Mobil) Oil Company.

In 1962 enrols in the Footscray Institute of Technology in Melbourne Australia, in the faculty of electrical and mechanical engineering. After an accident, he enroles at the Sydney College of Osteopathy and Chiropractic.

In 1969 after graduation repatriates, and opens his first practice of Osteopathy and Chiropractic in Athens, Hellas (GR).

In 1976 establishes the “Ellenic, Chiropractic, Naturopathic and Osteopathic Physicians  Association”  and was elected its first president. He was elected vice president of the “Commite de Liaison des Osteopaths Europeens (C.L.E.O.)’’, an  Osteopathic Delegation to the European Parliament.

In 1981 he was awarded the Diploma in Acupuncture by Professor Van Nghi under the auspices of the University of Marseille. The same year he represents Greece in the International Chiropractors Association (I. C. A.). Two years later he is awarded the “Fellowship” of the Association (F. I.C.A.). (Rarely awarded to non-US citizens.)

In 1988 he was involved in establishing the World Federation of Chiropractic, (W.F.C.) Greece becomes a founding member. The next year he introduces Hellas (GR) in the European Chiropractors Union (E.C.U.). Since then he will represent Greece for 8 consecutive years, participating at meetings 2-3 times a year.

In 1989 summons the Ministry of Health to the High Court of Appeals, for refusing to register the profession. The Court unnuls the Ministry’s refusal.

Also in 1989, he opens a branch of Chiropractic and Osteopathic practice in Thessaloniki of the Hellenic Macedonia. For 50 years he practices his profession, resulting to an over 75% success rate, to more than 50,000 people of all age, social and economic levels.

In 1996 feeling the need to divert the youth from indolence, founded the “Spartan Living”, a training of severe discipline and survival unit, based on Spartan standards, in a country area of Attica.
